Relaxation music and meditation music, in several instances, are basically the same thing. Both can be used for meditation, relaxation, sleep and even as background music at a spa or during a yoga class. Hypno therapists also use different types of relaxation music or meditation music when working with their clients. There are so many more uses.
There thousands of different types of relaxation music available today, so many in fact, that perhaps some of us are a bit overwhelmed at times trying to figure out where to start as far as selecting the relaxation music style that fits our current need the most. One thing to take into consideration when trying to choose among the many different styles of relaxation music is that some types of relaxation may be more effective and more relaxing than others.
While different types of relaxation music have more pronounced effectiveness than other types, nevertheless there is a specific type of relaxation music that stands out from the rest in the relaxation or meditation music genre. I am speaking about relaxation music that not includes soothing music or nature sounds, but brainwave altering binaural beats or isochronic tones as well.
Simply by listening to relaxation music embedded with either isochronic tones or binaural beats your brainwaves can be changed in such a way that you actually experience the benefits of the accompanying brainwave state that the binaural beats or isochronic tones help induce in you.
Maybe an example will help. When you are busy during the day you are generally at the beta level between, say, 13 hz and 30 hz. To get at a relaxed alpha level very quickly you can lie on your back, put on some stereo headphones, and listen to an mp3 or cd embedded with either isochronic tones or binaural beats. If they are set at an alpha frequency level then you will experience a very relaxed state of mind, similar to a pre-meditation state of mind, depending on how long you listen, and how deep the binaural beats or isochronic tones take you.
Maybe relaxation is hard for you as well the motivation to meditate. Relaxation music embedded with either binaural beats or isochronic tones may be just the thing for you. Such relaxation music will gradually train your mind to become more relaxed. And as you experience the results, and your brain is retrained, you will look forward to times of quiet every day.
You can find binaural beats or isochronic tones in mp3 or cd format. You can find them either embedded with nature sounds, ambient sounds, or new age music. Or you can find them in their raw tone fashion where they are simply high pitch or low pitch beating sounds in your ears. Most prefer the former, some prefer the later.
People also have different tastes in music, and it comes down to matter of personal preference. But when it comes to binaural beats and isochronic tones it is more about therapy - a complete mental makeover. It all ties in with training one's brain, and improving one's life, by regularly listening to cd's or mp3's embedded with binaural beats or isochronic tones. This is very similar to what regular meditation accomplishes, but much faster.
